My Story

Hi, I am Katrina, the owner of Satisfied Kat Copy. Big hair, loud-mouthed, and probably wearing animal print, I pride myself on living my life as authentically as possible, something that I hope you do too. This is my story.

Much like how censorship and legislation have tried to silence the adult industry, vaginismus stole my voice and made me small, so I became a copywriter to help others find theirs.

Talk about a reason to start a career, right? But bear with me, and I promise my story (and career choices) will start to make sense.

I started my career in communications, moving from the world of political education to B2B lighting before Covid hit in 2020.

Suddenly left afloat, I spent the two years of Lockdown discovering who I was beyond my career. With a vaginismus diagnosis, a need for queer sex-positivity, and a growing interest in sex tech and sex work. I sought to find something that I could do so that would allow me to enter this world and work to help people.

Looking back, I can safely say that my interest in the world of sex and pleasure started far earlier than that. From learning about sex work, legal discrimination, and a passion for sex education and pleasure since I was a teenager and bought my first vibrator, the topic was never far from my conversations.

But it wasn't until writing my first article during my Master’s, interviewing the London-based feminist sex shop Sh! I knew that the sex tech world was the world I wanted to be a part of.

Over the years, I tried my hand at different roles within the world of sex tech, including a brief stint as an adult content creator, before returning to my love of words and becoming a copywriter.

One thing that remained consistent throughout this journey was the love and support from the sex-positive, sex worker communities that I became close to as I started pole, tried my hand at content creation, and ultimately started going freelance. Because of that, it has set me on a path to creating a career that allows me to give back to the adult professional industry and its service providers by helping their voices to be heard.

As I have gone through my journey, one thing has always been clear: much like vaginismus stole my voice and left me feeling hidden in the dark. censorship, shadowbanning, and legislative proposals have been trying to do the same for those who work in the adult industry.

That is why my mission at Satisfied Kat Copy for the past 5 years has been to support erotic professionals and industry leads with their copywriting and personal brand voice needs.
